Simona Ricciotti
Simona specializes in IP litigation and unfair competition, enforcing IP rights both before the civil and criminal courts, and in particular in the fight against counterfeiting and piracy of trademarks and designs, especially in the field of fashion, luxury brands and cosmetics.
Simona has extensive experience in the field of agroindustrial products and wines.
She has also developed significant experience in Customs' procedures and assistance, in active cooperation with the local Italian Police Forces.
In non-contentious matters, Simona has developed her practice in the negotiation, drafting and revising of license and distribution agreements, focused in particular on selective distribution agreements in the perfumes and cosmetics sectors.
She graduated in law with honours from the University of Turin in 1999 and was admitted to the (Turin) Bar in 2002. She gained a Post-graduate Masters in International Trade Law (in English) in 2003 from the University Institute of European Studies and the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organisation, where she focused on international commercial law and drafting contracts. Simona was admitted to the Turin Bar in 2002.
She is a member of APRAM (the French Association of trademark Attorneys and IP lawyers in Paris).
Simona has participated as speaker in several international congresses, in particular in the framework of the “Union des Fabricants”, on the enforcement of IP rights before civil and criminal courts, namely of famous trademarks and designs, and on damages award; she has also participated in conferences organized by the French Textile Association and the French Association of Food Industry, among others.
