With over thirty-five years of experience assisting clients in intellectual property matters, Fabrizio has an unparalleled understanding of the field. While he is particularly known for his work in the telecommunications and life sciences sectors, his global understanding of the subject area allows him to advise in virtually any intellectual property matter, including in litigation and arbitration, as well as on the regulatory aspects arising in the medical devices and pharmaceutical fields.

Over the years, Fabrizio’s leadership of litigation teams in complex trademark and patent matters has made him a recognized and respected figure both in Italy and abroad.

Professional Experience

Fabrizio is a founding partner of the firm. Before the inauguration of the law firm, then under the name Studio Legale Jacobacci & Associati, in 1996, he gained experience working abroad, first in 1988 at the Frankfurt office of Punder, Volhard, Weber & Axster (now Clifford Chance) and later at the London offices of Linklaters.

Education and Teaching

Fabrizio received his law degree with honors from the University of Turin.

Fabrizio is frequently invited to speak at international conferences on intellectual property matters, such as those organized by the Intellectual Property Section of the New York State Bar Association, International Trademark Association, International Bar Association and MARQUES.

He is a tutor at the Master’s program in Intellectual Property, organized by WIPO and the University of Turin. Fabrizio is also a member of the editorial board of the English magazine European Trademark Reports published by Sweet & Maxwell.

Professional Affiliations

Fabrizio has been an active member of the Turin Bar Association since 1995 and has also been a member of the Italian Court of Cassation since 1995.

Fabrizio is a member of INTA, MARQUES, EPLAW, AIPPI, AIPLA, ECTA.

His most recent publications include co-authoring Patent Claim Construction, published by Thomson- Reuters in 2015, and contributions as co-author and coordinator for the annual publication The Luxury Law Book, Global Legal Post (2021-2024).

Passions and Interests

Fabrizio is passionate about ancient history and can frequently be found during the summer holidays as a student attending courses at Cambridge University's classical studies department.
