Costanza has extensive experience in judicial and extrajudicial protection of intellectual property rights with particular focus on trademarks, patents, know-how and copyright. Costanza assists Italian and foreign clients operating in various industries, IT/new technologies, tobacco, automotive, and pharmaceuticals, with a focus on IP rights protection strategies, including handling applications to customs authorities.

Among the various contracts governing IP rights, Costanza has a particular sensitivity for drafting licensing and research and development agreements in a customized and innovative way.

Costanza has developed strong analytical and synthesis skills that, combined with professional experience and strong determination, enable her to plan the most effective strategies and identify the most appropriate solution to meet clients' needs.

Professional Experience

Costanza joined the Rome office of the firm in 2009 and has held the role of since 2024.

Prior to joining the Firm, he worked at a leading Italian firm specializing in intellectual property matters.

Education and Teaching

Costanza received her law degree from the University of Ferrara in 2000.

She holds two master's degrees in intellectual property, a master’s degree in industrial Property Management organized by the Politecnico di Milano and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from King's College University of London.

Professional Affiliations

She has been a member of the Treviso Bar Association since 2004 and a member of the Law Society of London as Solicitor of England and Wales since 2005.

Publications and Recognition

Costanza has authored articles for both national and international legal journals on intellectual property and regularly participates as a speaker in various seminars and master’s degrees. Her most recent interventions are dedicated to unconventional trademarks in the fashion world and the protection of Made in Italy:

  • "Colours, shapes and patterns: why fashion houses love unconventional trademarks," a speech during the 2021-2023 editions of the Webinar "Fashionize your Law: Fashion & IP Law," organized by ELSA Rome and ELSA Milan;
  • "The Protection of Italianity: "Made in Italy" speech during a series of seminars dedicated to the internationalization of companies organized by CO.NE.PRO in 2022.

Passions and Interests

Constance has a strong passion for travel and photography, loves movies, and enjoys various sports especially in the mountains, such as trekking and alpine skiing.
