Benedetta Lucchetti

Benedetta has experience in the protection of patents, trademarks, copyrights, know-how, both in contentious and non-contentious matters. She assists Italian and international clients in a wide range of sectors, focusing particularly on the chemical, pharmaceutical, IT, mechanical and luxury fields.

Benedetta has experience in the life-science sector, assisting major market players in transnational litigation and strategic patent matters.

Benedetta also has a strong background in proceedings for the reinstatement of IP rights that have lapsed, assisting numerous Italian and international clients before the IPTO, EPO and EUIPO, as well as on appeal, and successfully obtaining the reinstatement of patent, trademark and design rights in cases where they were unintentionally lost by the right owners.

Benedetta regularly advises clients in the luxury field, with a specific focus on high jewelry both in litigation, enforcing registered trademarks, designs and copyrights, and on a strategic level, managing anticounterfeiting programs including customs and civil proceedings, for which she liaises with Customs, the Italian Police and judicial authorities.

Professional Experience

Benedetta started her career with the firm in 2010 as a trainee and has been a Senior Associate since 2024. She works in the Turin office.

In 2014, Benedetta was visiting lawyer at a leading law-firm in London, where she contributed to the practice of the patent department and assisted in a patent trial in the life-science sector, before the London Patent Court.

Education and Teaching

Benedetta graduated in law with honors in 2009 from the University of Turin.

In 2012, she qualified as a lawyer at the Court of Appeal of Turin.

Professional Affiliations

Benedetta was admitted to the (Turin) Bar Association in 2012.

In 2017, Benedetta was named a 'IP Rising Star' for Italy by IP Stars magazine of Managing Intellectual Property, the world's leading specialised guide for Intellectual Property companies and professionals.

Passions and Interests

Benedetta is passionate about travelling, especially at the seaside, and in her free time she develops her skills in photography and loves to read.
