Barbara is well recognized for her experience in trademark, patent protection and copyright, as well as in commercial law matters.
Barbara regularly assists Italian and international companies, both in judicial (civil courts and/or arbitration) and extrajudicial matters, with a focus on industrial and intellectual property protection.
Barbara has developed considerable expertise in the pharmaceutical sector, both for patent protection, including SEP (Standard Essential Patents) and FRAND issues, as well as with the regulatory aspects that are connected to the pharmaceutical field. She has been assisting leading companies in the pharmaceutical and mobile phone sectors for many years, both in extrajudicial and litigation proceedings.
In recent years, Barbara has expanded her sectoral expertise in the protection of luxury brands, particularly high-end jewellery, in relation to which she represents several internationally renowned maisons.

Barbara joined the firm as an associate in 2000 and has been a partner since 2010. She is based in the Turin office.
Education and Teaching
Barbara graduated cum laude in law from the University of Turin in 1997 and obtained a post-graduate Master's degree 'Giuristi di impresa' at the Turin School of Business Administration (SAA) in 1997/1998 on a scholarship.
Barbara began her career in 1998 with a coveted internship at Iveco S.p.A. (Fiat group) - Human Resources. After joining the firm, in 2004, she also completed a secondment at the London office of Addleshaw Goddard, in the area of industrial property and commercial law.
Professional Affiliations
She has been a member of the Turin Bar Association since 2001 and a member of the Italian Supreme Court since 2013.
Barbara has been an member of ECTA (European Communities Trademark Association) since March 2015 and a member of ECTA's Anti-Counterfeiting Committee since 2019. In January 2024, Barbara moved to the ECTA Patent Committee where she embodies the role of Secretary.
As of 1 November 2023, it joined the Italian Representative Project organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce for the United Arab Emirates, with offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Publications and Recognition
Barbara has participated in several seminars, conferences, and webinars, contributing on topics related to intellectual property. Additionally, she has written commentary articles on various legal issues or significant rulings related to IP, including:
