Alberto has experience in providing judicial and extrajudicial legal assistance to Italian and foreign clients, active in particular in the manufacturing sector in relation to patents, trademarks, know-how, design, as well as copyrights, software and databases.
He has also gained significant experience in advising startups, assisting them in defining and implementing strategies for the enhancement and protection of intellectual property rights, as well as in conducting due diligence activities.
He manages consulting activities with flexibility and dynamism, ensuring coordination with business needs and priorities.
Alberto is also dedicated to carefully examining technical profiles specifically when appointed to defend clients in patent litigation. He assists clients in the negotiation of research and development, co-ownership, licensing or assignment agreements, as well as in the preparation of regulations, policies and major corporate agreements pertaining to the protection of intellectual property.
Professional Experience
Alberto joined the Turin office of the firm in 2011 and has held the role of Counsel since 2024.
Prior to joining the Firm, he worked at a leading Italian firm specializing in intellectual property matters.
Education and Teaching
Alberto received his law degree in 2005 from the University of Palermo.
In 2001 he successfully attended the post-diploma course ASEIT (Advanced School for Electronics and Information Technologies) held by CRES (Center for Electronic Research in Sicily), Monreale (Palermo) and the Ministry of University and Research, on information and telecommunications technologies.
In 2010 he participated in the course "Arbitration, Mediation and Conciliation in Civil and Commercial Matters, International and European Perspectives" at the School of Law of King's College London.
Alberto received the Master of Laws in Intellectual Property Law organized by the University of Tornio and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2011, drafting a final paper on "Protection of Made in Italy: Challenges posed by Chinese Manufactures in Italy."
In 2016, he successfully attended the postgraduate course in copyright law named CopyrightX and offered by Harvard Law School (Cambridge, USA).
Professional Affiliations
Alberto has been a member of the Palermo Bar Association since 2009.
Alberto is a member of AIPPI.
Publications and Recognition
Alberto has acted for a long time as a Research Paper Advisor in the Master's Degree Programme in Intellectual Property Law organised by the University of Turin and WIPO, assisting the participants in writing their final papers.
He has also participated as a speaker in conferences, seminars and training sessions on Intellectual Property; Alberto has also given seminar lectures at the University of Bergamo, Faculty of Engineering, and at the University of Brescia, Faculty of Law.
